Ananth Bhogaraju is the head of our affiliate partner, Seven Hills Healthcare Advisors. Ananth provides senior investment banking coverage to the healthcare industry where he has advised a broad range of companies in the outpatient provider, healthcare insurance, hospital, supply chain, pharmaceutical services, benefit management, generic pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare information technology sectors.
Ananth has been an investment banker to the global healthcare industry since 1993. He has significant experience in a number of product areas, including structuring mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and capital formation transactions including public and private equity, equity-linked securities and leveraged debt finance. Over the course of his 22 year investment banking career, Ananth has executed over 200 M&A and capital markets transactions representing aggregate transaction value in excess of $75 billion.
Prior to founding Seven Hills in 2015, Ananth was Vice Chairman, Americas Healthcare Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank. He joined Deutsche Bank in 2005 as a Managing Director and Head of the Healthcare Services Investment Banking practice. Before joining Deutsche Bank, Ananth worked at Credit Suisse First Boston where he was a Managing Director in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group. Ananth served on the firm’s North American Investment Banking Committee and the Global Business Development Council. Earlier in his career, he worked at Salomon Brothers in the Corporate Finance Group in New York focusing on the healthcare industry. Ananth also worked in the Corporate Banking Group at Capitalia S.p.A. where he was integrally involved with the firm’s U.S. loan portfolio restructuring and workout efforts.
Ananth is a graduate of Northwestern University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts with dual majors in Economics and Political Science and The University of Chicago, Booth School of Business where he earned an MBA with dual concentrations in Finance and Accounting.
Ananth has served on the Chicago Children’s Museum Board of Directors, Northwestern Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Board and is a member of the Executives’ Club of Chicago, The Chicago Council on Global Affairs and the Barrington Area Conservation Trust.
